Here are a couple of methods that have proven effective that may be setup.  Please keep in mind that you most likely will need an IT specialist to help set this up for you.

A VPN setup on the network that the LPX server/host computer is on.  Once that is set up there you can use RDPs (remote desktop connections) to remote into the office computers.

Another option is to remote into an App/Terminal Server.  This would allow multiple users to remote into one computer and be able to use it as if they were the only one on it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The LaborPower Express program cannot be run on directly on your remote computer.  The LaborPower Express program needs to run on a workstation at the office using the RDP.  The reason behind this is if you were to connect to the VPN then run LPX from the remote computer, there would be too much latency between the server/host computer and the remote that the LPX database would terminate the connection to LPX.

Currently, there are 2 free remote desktop applications that could be used:

  1. TeamViewer (https://www.teamviewer.com/en-us/)
    1. Navigate to the website, choose free download and install on computers to be used.
    2. Get the ID and Password of the computer you are remoting. Use those credentials to remote into said computer.
    3.  After the first remote sessions make sure to hit the star to save the password and give the connection a name. From then on you would just need to select the saved name and double click to remote into it.
  2. Splashtop Personal (https://www.splashtop.com/personal)
    1. Download the Splashtop Personal app on the computer you’d like to remote from.
    2. Download Splashtop Streamer on the computer you want to remote to.
    3. Create a Splashtop Account and log in to both places.
