How do I setup a new workstation for Labor Power Express?

This page is the instructions for finding and using the Workstation setup on a computer. This is to be used on a computer where the Server Installer has been used on another computer on the same network. Workstation setups are satellite installs. They utilize data from a central computer, in this case, the one which you used the LaborPower Express Server Installer on.

1.  First we must find the client setup file. Hold the Windows key and press 'e', this brings up a standard Windows file navigation window. On the left side of the window that pops up, there's an item called "Network". Click it to navigate to other machines in the network.

2. In order to proceed, you need to know what the name of the Server computer is. If you don't already know what it is, go to the computer where the Server Installer was used. Hold the windows key and press 'e'. On the left side of the window that pops up, right-click on "Computer" and click Properties. Next to "Computer name" is the computer you're trying to navigate to on the client machine(s)




3. Now back at the client computer, navigate to the server computer's name, then the LaborPowerExp share, then Admin, then Client.

4. Run the Setup file by double-clicking it. It will prompt for User Account Control, click Yes to continue. Choose the path where you want to install it. It will install it's folders to the location you choose. 

TIP: The client program is not particularly large (about 60 megabytes). It is safest to install the client to the default C:\ location. Installing it to a network drive or an external drive of any kind has unpredictable behavior.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for every client install you wish to setup. Once you've installed all of the clients you need to, you are ready to move on to the next step of the Installation process. Go back to main Install page.
